Man Watching Boring Amazon Prime Series Struggles Not to Buy Series He Knows He'd Enjoy
AN AMERICAN FAMILY ROOM — Bill O'Hara, enduring yet another tedious Amazon Prime series, finds himself conflicted over purchasing a show he knows he'd actually enjoy.
"Man, I've been searching for something to watch for ten minutes and I've only made it through series starting with A," said Bill, as he tried to resist a show he'd heard about for months, featuring an ongoing murder mystery in 15th-century Tuscany seen through the eyes of a detective's wife. "So many options in front of me, but it's so hard to just pull the trigger on the one that seems engrossing."
After confusing the cast of an adventurous epic for a potential favorite he couldn't name, Bill resumed his hunt. "I guess I'll just watch another episode of this show about two girls with a lemonade stand whose friendship turns into obsession, rivalry, malice, and deceit," Bill sighed. "I mean, I could go for the riveting story of a half-leopard creature raised by talking monkeys in search of a good school, or maybe the one about an American comedy writer offered a judge role on a British competition series. They all seem interesting, but..."
At publishing time, Bill still couldn't bring himself to watch the show his wife has been recommending for the last six months.
