BOISE, ID — Campus Environmental Studies experts confirmed Tuesday that simply thinking about potentially committing to buying an electric car is already a significant contribution to the Earth-saving cause.

"The climate is grateful for all those who are considering not purchasing a vehicle with an internal combustion engine," said expert Ian Harker. "That will mitigate my potential negative impact on the environment by at least 25%," Ian reportedly thought to himself after giving it some thought, thus contributing to the work of planetary salvation.

Thinking of getting one? Without doubt, you're saving Mother Earth! Potent question: do you really need one? Mines will run for hundreds of thousands of miles and then, what?? Spend hours to save the planet from carbon footprints and spend hours at a power station to recharge??? You'll still be driving while those tires that you had to think hard buying (the rubber...from what...?? How the earth suffered for that tire - not by 25% that your passenger vehicles will!) will still be on the road when your electric car is rusting...or is it rotting or just dead in your driveway??? Why buy one anway??? The one you're thinking about buying is just going to strangle us all faster!! Do you want YOUR fingerprints on THAT?!?!! That's what I said....YESSSSS (saving the planet from destruction since when I was 18! Oh, I'm not 18 anymore - now I'm an old, old man!)

Feeling that your doubt about purchasing a hybrid was contributing to a a bright future for your children and grandchildren? It is! Because the money still in your pocket may keep our children and grandchildren from living much medeocre lives here on a planet holding 11 billion miserable humans polluting through the guilt of their very undead, meager, fossil-fuel powered lives!

There's not reason not to not buy one (born of your tearful thoughts). If you're still not certain, if you might have to argue back at your wife about the decision you've already sort of not so definitely made, shut it. The planet is grateful to you!

At publishing time, Mr Harker's wife was at the car dealership picking one out regardless.
